To prevent network problems, a network socket will be blocked when broadcast or multicast flooding is detected. In most cases this happens when a computer running Microsoft Windows is connected directly to the network socket in the room.
Broadcast or multicast flooding can have multiple reasons. It is frequently caused by malfunctioning software or drivers (like printer drivers) on a computer, but can be caused by multiple other factors.
To resolve the problem, the connected device should be thoroughly checked and disturbing software needs to be disabled or removed.
If the causing issue on the computer can not be detected, it is recommended to use a wifi router to prevent network socket locks. Thus the network behind the connected device will be separated from the StudNet network, which will prevent issue being caused by the connected device to extend to the whole network.
After resolution of the cause unlock the network socket.
