PPTP VPN using network manager

This is a setup instruction on how to set up the PPTP VPN connection with Linux network manager:

Click on the Network Manager icon in the system tray and open Network Connections

Next Add a new VPN connection.

Select Point-to-Point-Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) as connection type, then Create

Set Connection name to StudNet

Gateway address is vpn.stw-bonn.de

As User name enter your StudNet user ID. This you can find in the registration e-mail, which you received after sign up on https://startup.stw-bonn.de

To be able to enter the Password first click on to activate the dialog box

Enter your Password. The password is the one you choose at StudNet account registration.

Save the connection and close all windows

In the system tray navigate to VPN Connections and select the new connection StudNet
