Connect your router
How to connect your router correctly. The most common mistake is a swapped port.
If you have used the router on another network before, reset it to factory settings first, as described in its manual.
-
Plug the cable into the wall socket
Plug a shielded network cable – Cat 5e FTP or better – into the network socket in your room.
-
Plug the cable into the WAN port
Plug the other end of the cable into your router's WAN port.
-
Power on the router
Connect the router's power adapter and wait until it has fully started up.
-
Connect your computer
Connect your computer either with a network cable to one of the router's LAN ports, or over Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi credentials are printed on the bottom of the router.

Didn't work?
